Alaska has so many dangers that fall into #1! Keeping the wood stack piled and our ice hole clear in winter for warmth and water are necessary. So is keeping the guns clean for bear, wolf and moose protection. We definitely live in dangerous country here!

All of these are really logical and obvious, but I think we tend to forget about what needs to be done at times, and just do what happens to be in front of us.
I don’t think I’ve ever had a chore fall into category 1… no bears in our little corner of Spain, thankfully!

She loves watching the animals! And I have no idea. I think the only “real” bear deterrent is electric shock.
