Hi there! Unfortunately I have been unable to find a battery operated heating device for chicks. I think there just isn&#039;t enough of us wanting them for a company to produce the product. If you are looking for something with low power consumption to run off of a small solar system, this chick brooder has good reviews and uses 15 watts, compared to a heat lamp using 250 watts.
