This was #2 on the list last year. Guess the dog posts are more popular than the Alaska ones this year! I really love living in our little piece of the Alaskan Bush Lite™. 9. How To Raise Chicks Without Electricity

When we first moved out to our little piece of Alaskan paradise, it was raw land. No driveway, no cabin, no power. So our first batch of chickens I ended up figuring out how to raise without electricity. I used these methods for our second batch, too, because it was more convenient than starting the generator or using up all our solar with heat lamps. The very first post on the blog I wrote to be useful for other people.

5 Reasons Why Alaska Is Bigger And Better Than Texas - Sled Dog Slow

10. 5 Reasons Why Alaska Is Bigger And Better Than Texas

Not only is Alaska twice as big as Texas, it also seems to be filled with friendlier people and better coffee. Texas was nice to visit last year, but Alaska is the place for me.

Personally, the best of 2019 for me was the newest addition to our family, Inara. A close second was purchasing our fishing permit, so we can be Alaskans forever now.

I hope your 2019 was great, and your 2020 is even better. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and have a wonderful New Year!

Merry Christmas - Best of 2019
