Firstly, I want to apologize for being on hiatus recently. Between a temporary move to our friends in expectation of our daughter’s arrival, and my computer being fritzy I haven’t had the ability to devote the time to this blog that I’d like too. That said, Kyle wanted to add a little something to our adventure journal. The following is from him.

What a great time to be alive.

I suppose it’s fitting that I should be the first guest post on my wife’s wonderful blog of our adventures. Thank you all for joining us on this crazy experience. As I’m sitting by the fire, Katie asleep next to me. I’m writing this the old-fashioned way. Pen to paper. Soon, a pure and innocent soul will join this world, baby Bellamy. A lifetime of wanting will soon be granted. Happy, healthy, smart is our pick of things we want for the B. In that order. Isn’t the point of life to find complete happiness? For me, that’s only days away.

To the B, I promise you that I will be there, making sure you have every opportunity I can throw at you. I want you to find that one thing that makes you love life. That’s my job and when you are grown, I hope you’ll know what I’m feeling at this moment.

Okay, okay. Whew, tears aside, how cool is it gonna be to grow up as a kid in the woods? Uhh, the coolest. I can’t wait to teach you how to play the drums (Amazon). Maybe you can teach me the guitar? Bass? Violin? For now, let’s stick to sticks. And to play video games with my baby girl is gonna be the best. You’ll love video games and drums (as I use the Jedi mind tricks over Katie’s belly). Oh yeah, and Star Wars (Amazon) 4 5 6 1 2 3 7 ( 8 9 10+), in that order.

It’s getting late and I need to load the fireplace (thank you M & S!) and get to bed. Building a house is hard work, and going solo while Katie rests requires maximum effort 😆

Good night all.

  1. Good post. I learn something totally new and challenging on sites I stumbleupon on a daily basis. It’s always helpful to read articles from other authors and use a little something from other websites.
