Hello and welcome to the video tour of our new cabin! While we never named our current place, we’ve decided with a new cabin comes a new name. So welcome to High Tide Homestead, named so because of the beautiful Cook Inlet views. I can’t wait to watch some amazing winter storms roll in!

High Tide Homestead

There is lots of work to be done at the new cabin. Things I would consider normal, like leveling the floor or replacing the roof. New windows and doors, insulation to be put in. The cabin never had wiring or plumbing, so that will be all new. Then there are things that are a little more peculiar to our situation. Can we possibly move the cabin back from the bluff? How do we mitigate erosion? I’ve at least partially answered that last question by ordering willow trees to come next spring. But I don’t want the cabin to fall into the ocean in 10 (or 50) years. So many things to do!

Enjoy the video tour and expect regular updates, both here and on YouTube as we work on the cabin 😁

And you’ll probably notice that our social media will migrate over to the name High Tide Homestead as we rebrand under one name, but for now all the links for sleddogslow.com will still work!
